Bradford City v Charlton Athletic team line-ups: Holmes fit enough to start but Dasilva drops to bench
Charlton’s Ricky Holmes has survived an injury scare and starts today’s game away at Bradford City – and Naby Sarr is set for a surprise left-back berth, writes Louis Mendez.
Addicks boss Karl Robinson had said that he didn’t think the winger was “going to make it” after receiving a knock during Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at Oxford United.
The 30-year-old does retain his place in the starting eleven, but Ben Reeves drops to the bench. Billy Clarke returns to face his former club after coming on as a substitute in midweek.
Ezri Konsa also comes back in to the first eleven, with England U20 international Jay Dasilva taking a place amongst the substitutes. South London Press understands that this means Naby Sarr will play in the left-back position, to counter the Bantams targeting the diminutive Dasilva with long, diagonal balls.
Charlton: Amos, Sarr, Konsa, Bauer, Solly, Forster-Caskey, Kashi, Holmes, Clarke, Fosu, Magennis. Subs: Phillips, Jackson, Reeves, Aribo, Ahearne-Grant, Dodoo, Dasilva.
