Bexley motorists warned of weeks of roadworks and disruption to journeys
Bexley motorists are being warned to brace themselves for a few weeks of disruptions because of roadworks.
From this week until mid-February, works will be taking place in Bexleyheath along Albion Road and Gravel Hill. Watling Street roundabout, Royal Oak Road and Highland Road will also be affected.
Daytime works will take place at various locations for short periods of time during normal working hours, when traffic flow will be maintained, but may be slower than normal.
Work, which is likely to have a significant impact on traffic, will be carried out during off-peak hours between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Some road lanes may need to be closed for short periods. Night works will take place at various locations from 7pm until 2am at the latest, with noisy operations completed before 11pm.
During the night works, some roads, and some traffic lanes, will be closed, with diversions in place.
