Ben Amos suffers finger injury – on-loan Millwall keeper set for scan

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Ben Amos is set for scan this week after suffered damage to his hand in training on Friday.

Jordan Archer retained his starting place between the posts for Sunday’s 2-1 FA Cup win over Hull City.

Asked why he did not rotate his keeper for the competition, Harris replied: “Ben has got a chipped bone in his finger on Friday in training. He’s not been able to see a specialist yet.

“We won’t know the extent of the damage until probably tomorrow.”

Shaun Hutchinson could resume training this week. He has missed the last two matches with a deep cut to his shin – broken glass in a rubbish bag causing the issue as he put it in the bin.

Harris said: “He’s walking around and fine but we won’t know more until he tries to put a shinpad on and gets out on the training pitch.”

Conor McLauglin is ruled out with a quad injury.

Fred Onyedinma is back from his loan spell with Wycombe.

“He has been looking unplayable the last couple of days in training,” said Harris.
