Athletics – Dulwich Runners

Dulwich runners had a busy weekend competing in the Surrey cross country leagues, writes Chris Loizou.

The women’s team travelled to Nonsuch park to compete in the division one match in some muddy conditions. Finishing a credible 12th place despite missing some of their vet internationals through injury.

First home was Helen Lister in 51st place, Ola Balme in 52nd place, 64th was Andrea Pickup and in 73rd place was Ellie Balfe.

The men travelled to Richmond park for their second match in division 2.

The team finished 7th in some trying conditions star performer was Buzz Sheppard who finished in 14th place followed by Tim Bowen in 21st place. Fast improving runners Steve Davies and Andy Bond finished in 38th and 39th place respectively.
