Andrew Madley gets swift return to Wembley as he is handed Charlton-Sunderland reffing gig
Andrew Madley has been appointed as the referee for Sunday’s League One final.
It is a quick return to Wembley for the official after he took charge of AFC Fylde’s 1-0 win over Leyton Orient in the FA Trophy final on Sunday.
Madley has handed out 110 yellow cards and four reds in 39 matches this season. His only two League One games were Sunderland’s 4-2 win over Barnsley in November and Portsmouth’s 2-2 draw with Burton the month before.
His assistants will be Nick Hopton and Andrew Fox.
