New signings Jairo Riedewald, Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek all start in Frank de Boer’s first competitive match in charge of Crystal Palace against Premier League new boys Huddersfield Town.

Riedewald, the £8 million signing from Ajax, starts alongside his Dutch compatriot Fosu-Mensah in defence while Chelsea loanee Loftus-Cheek lines up in midfield alongside Luka Milivojevic.

Jason Puncheon continues as captain, playing behind frontman Christian Benteke. Scott Dann starts at centre-back after a long injury layoff last season. James Tomkins and Andros Townsend both start on the bench.
